In practice, life and painting, I am interested in finding a balance between realism and abstraction. Painting maintains an independent language that can communicate more adequately than words. I wish to better understand how colour choice, brushstroke and expressive decisions can connect with the viewer. Recent work represents the search for stability during a time of uncertainty.
