In practice, life and painting, I am interested in finding a balance between realism and abstraction. Painting maintains an independent language that communicates more adequately than words. I wish to better understand how colour choice, brushstroke and expressive decisions connect with the conscious observer. The work represents a search for stability during times of uncertainty.
